Like all great love stories, ours started with friends… and a giant mutant turtle movie.

We met through mutual friends, and from the very beginning, there was something different—easy conversation, shared laughter, and the kind of connection you don’t find every day. Our first date was to see Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (if you know Sean, this was basically his dream date). Emily happily went along for the experience, proving from day one that she was willing to dive into his world—no matter how many turtles were involved.

Since then, we've spent seven incredible years together, building a relationship grounded in love, laughter, and lots of adventures. Traveling together has become one of our favorite things—we’ve explored everywhere from St. Thomas and Bermuda to Alaska, The Bahamas, and beyond. We love to spend quality time together through camping, fishing, concerts, and golfing! Whether we're ziplinning in the Caribbean or cozying up at home, we find joy just being together. Moving in together was a special chapter in our story—not just because we merged furniture and closet space, but because we truly love spending our days side by side. We've also found happiness in raising our first puppy together — Cooper!

The proposal? Straight out of a rom-com—if the rom-com included a ring box held upside down. While cruising with friends, Sean brought Emily to the back of the ship during a stunning sunset. With the ocean behind them and the wind in their hair, he nervously got down on one knee (box in hand, albeit upside down), and asked the question that would change everything. She said yes—laughing through happy tears—and the rest is history.

Our story isn’t perfect, but it’s perfectly ours. Full of quirks, full of love, and full of the kind of moments that make life sweet. We can’t wait to start this next chapter together—and we’re so excited to celebrate it with all of you.
